Mike Gallagher – Himself
Besides his talk radio duties, Mike is equally comfortable in front of television cameras. He’s a FOX News Channel Contributor making frequent appearances on all of the FOX News Channel programs as well as occasionally guest hosting talk shows on the cable news giant. He added “author” to his resume with his first book, which became a New York Times Bestseller, Surrounded by Idiots — Fighting Liberal Lunacy in America, published by William Morrow, an imprint of Harper Collins. In September 2012, Simon and Schuster (Threshold) published Mike’s second book, 50 Things Liberals Love to Hate, a humorous, insightful romp about the many things about America liberals seem to hate.
In addition to his broadcasting duties, Mike enjoys performing on stage and film as a professional actor. Highlights included touring with Sally Struthers in the A.R. Gurney play, “Love Letters”, as well as appearing at the Shubert Theatre in New York in the Broadway production of the Tony award-winning musical, “Memphis” as well as several cities on the show’s national tour, playing the role of the White Deejay in the show’s opening number. One of his favorite theaters in America is Lyric Stage in Irving, Texas, where he will be playing the role of Mayor Shinn in The Music Man in June 2013. He’ll also be shaving his head (or will he?) when he plays Oliver Warbucks in the (Greenville) South Carolina Children’s Theatre production of Annie in September 2013. He recently became a Broadway investor, supporting the smash hit production of Pippin, which won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.
Now in his 14th year of national syndication, the “happy conservative warrior” offers a combination of a fast-paced, fun delivery, a passionate interaction with his listeners and a first-name basis relationship with leading newsmakers from coast-to-coast, all of which makes The Mike Gallagher Show one of the most consistently popular programs on national radio today.
